SHEARER KILLED. ON NEW PLYMOUTH EXPRESS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. A man named Frederick Spencer, a passenger on the New Plymouth express, was fatally injured while the train was passing Manakau this evening. He apparently had his head out of a window, and the tablet exchange arm, after taking the tablet from the engine and springing back, rebounded and struck Spencer a fearful (blow on the head. The man was removed to Otaki hospital, where he died an hour later. Spencer formerly lived at Petone, and had lately been shearing up country.
