Cable advice received by the Xew Zealand Shipping Company states that the (hai'tered steamer Waiwera, which loaded at Montreal for Australian and Xew Zealand ports, left Sydney (Cape Breton), on December Ist, for' Adelaide, via Capetown. THE CAXADIAX SERVICE. Advice has been received by the Xew Zealand Shipping Company to the effect that, there will he no steamer leaving Montreal during the present monr.'i for Australian and Xew Zealand ports. The Waimatc will leave the Canadian port in January, while the Mutatua will probably take the February loading berth. JETHOU FOR AUSTRALIA ONLY.
Advice has been i eceived in Wellington which states that the Barber liner ,lethou, which was originally due this month from Xew York, via ports, will not come on to Xew Zealand. She has a quantity of Xew York cargo consigned to the Dominion, and this will probably be transhipped at Sydney. TURAKrXA AND WATMATE REPORTED. A cablegram received by the X"e\v Zealand Shipping Company states that, the liner Turakina. en route from Auckland to London, resumed her voyage from Monte Video on December 2nd,. The vessel left Auckland on November 11th. The steamer Waimtite. Homeward bound from Australian ports, continued her voyage from TenerifTo on December 4th. The vessel left Adelaide on October !>th for London, and was reported at Durban on November 7th.
HAUPIRI DEPARTS. After :i long and varied career < New Zealand coast tin- Union Company's Haupiri lias left these waters lor good. She cleared Wellington for Durban, via Fremantle. at 0.10 p.m. on Wednesday, and on arrival at the South African port »he will be handed over to her new owners. When the vessel was acquired by the Union Company she was named the Richmond. Subsequently she was employed in the Wellington-West Coast .service fill the advent of the Mapourika and Araliura. For several years she was employed in the East Coast flays trade, and since that time she has been laid up in the -stream at Wellington. When alio left Wellington on Wednesday evening the Haupiri looked as good as she did twenty years ago.
