PURSUING THE FRENCH. A BULGARIAN REPORT. Received, Dee. 10, Yl.m p.m. Sofia, Dec. !). A communique says: We have vigorously pursucd_tho French on both banks of the Vardar. The column has readied fifteen kilometres north of Ochrida. FROM A FRENCH SOURCE. VIOLENT SKIRMISHES IN THE WEST. BULGARIAN ATTACK REPULSED. Received Dec. !). 7 p.m. Paris, Dec. 8. A French communique states: Our machine guns in Belgium prevented the enemy restoring their damaged works, and our curtain of fire stopped a German attack north of Arras. We destroyed the enemy's position near Roye, and the struggle continues eastward of Souain Hill for the recapture of the ground occupied by the enemy. The Bulgarians on Sunday violently attacked the bridgehead at Demirkapuon, on the Vardar, but were completely repulsed.
