Present indications arc for moderate to strong southerly winds, backing to •easterlies northward of New Plymouth and Napier, and variable breezes with northeiTies and westerlies predominating elsewhcrogjhorlly. The weather is likely to become warmer, but with increasing liuze and cloudiness generally and unsettled at. times, in the northern and southernmost districts. The barometer shows little movement at present, but will fall in about twenty-four hours.
