He also intimated tha't the fund being run by the children by bringing a penny a week had amounted to £2, and ho had forwarded a chequfi to Wellington for that amount in aid of the Belgian Relief Fund. The annual vacation starts on December IGth and terminates on January 31, 1016. It is the intention of the local tradespeople to have an extra day's holiday on Monday, 3rd, January, this being the general meeting of the Tradesmen's Association. At the conclusion of the meeting Mr. Guy, President, of the Association made Mr. F. Bertie a presentation of a marble clock as a small token of the members' appreciation of'his services for the last two years as secretary.
