Possibly these penalties, and the disapopinting form of several horses at Feilding may reduce to-day's fields. Since last year the Woodville Club has gone in for extensive improvements, and the meeting being a patriotic one a record gathering should be assured. The Woodville Handicap, one and a quarter miles, has attracted thirteen runners/ Square Deal ran two solid races at Feilding, and should have plenty of followers. Orleans and Bertrada are. also much admired.

A big field will start in the Maiden Plate, six furlongs, but Bjornberg is likely to make a mess of the betting, Kauwairoa, with lOlbs penalty, will also be a warm order in the Hack Hurdles. In his absence Glcnorchy should be well backed.

Tt will be. difficult to find jockeys for all the horses engaged in the Flying Hack .'Handicap, six furlongs, and the race looks fairly open. Trials 7.9, Tavistock 8.2 and-Sea Lord are a trio of consistent performers engaged. Should Avon Park sport silk In the Borough Handicap, seven furlongs, a ton of Taranaki money will be placed on the Hawera nag. Most danger may come from Orleans (if reserved) and Master Achilles.

The Welter Hack Handicap looks like providing and interesting duel between The Summit and Bunting. A select field should line up for the Electric Stakes, five furlongs. Tyson can travel fast over that distance, but Martlet may keep him busy. The meeting will be concluded to-morrow.
