MISSING.

MANGOREI RESIDENT LOST. WANDERED FROM HIS HOME. A well-known resident of Mangorel, Mr. Zaccheus W. Wells, is missing. He left his residence on Monday afternoon, and has not been seen since. Mrs. Wells states that her husband was working in the garden close to the house on Monday morning, and he returned to the work in the afternoon. At 2.30 p.m. Miss Brooks, who is living with Mrs. Wells, went into the garden to see if Mr. Wells was there and she found that he was missing. She returned to the house and reported the matter to Mrs. Wells, but thinking he would turn up they made no search then. Towards evening, however, there was still no sign of Mr. Wells and they became anxious, and a search was made in the neighborhood, but without result. The police are informed that Mr. Wells, who is 85 years of age, hsfe been somewhat queer for the past) tiins months or more, and he has ldst his memory. On one occasion, a few months ago, he wandered away and was found in a paddock nearly a mile from ths , house. Constable Wrobenski and a party of farmers carried out a thorough search yesterday, but without result. Mr. Wells is white haired, has a grey beard, is of fair complexion, medium build, about sft. 3in. in height, walks with a considerable stoop, has no teeth, had no coat on, but wore a tweed cap, a groy striped flannel shirt, and dark tweed trousers.
