A BITTER CONFLICT. HUNGARIANS "WIPED OUT. Received Dec. 4, 8.10 p.m. Rome, Dec. 4. Details have arrived that two battalions of Hungarian Ilonateds were, wiped out in the Sabotin Pass. The Italians at dawn noticed their approach and prepared an ambuscade, with ma-chine-guns therein. The enemy were cut off, and the machine-guns killed 45(J Hungarians within a space of 30 yards. The conflict was so ibittcr that of 1500 men none escaped. HEAVY AUSTRIAN LOSSES. Rome, Dec. 3. A correspondent of the press estimates that the Austrians have lost 300,000 men on the Italian front, including 00,000 dead and 44,000 prisoners captured. In the present offensive Italy has captured 15,000 prisoners.
