SITTING AT NEW PLYMOUTH ON MONDAY. CHIEF JUSTICE TO PRESIDE. A sitting of the Supreme Court will be opened at the Courthouse, New Plymouth, on Monday morning. The Chief Justice (Sir. Robert Stout), will preside and will arrive in New Plymouth from Wellington to-night. The AttorneyGeneral (the Hon. A. L. Herdmari) will also arrive here to-night. He will appear with the CrownN Prosecutor (Mr. H. R. Billing) for the King in the case William P. |)ocg v. the King, a petition for damages. The calender for the sitting is as follows: CIVIL. (Before common jury of twelve). William Percy Docg (Mr. A. H. Johnstone) v the King (Mr. H. R. Billing); petition for £IOOO damages for personal injuries caused by alleged negligence of Railway Department. Garnet Hornby Saunders (Mr. J. B. Roy) v Henry Weston (M. 11. R. Billing) ; claim for £IOOO damages for alleged libel. (Before the Judge alone). Elizabeth Sharrock (Mr. A. H. Johnstone) v. Roger Sharrock (Mr. A. (R. Standish); to set aside transfer of land. Sarah Marsh (Mr. P. E. Baldwin) r. Taranaki Education Board (Mr. J. H. Quilliam); for declaration that certain land held by defendant under Crown land grant still remains Native land. Thomas McWhirter (Mr. ]). S. Smith) v. Sydney Deacon (Mr. Cecil Duff); claim for £4OO payable under an agreement for the sale and purchase of land; counter-claim to have agreement rescinded and declared null and void, and for recovery of £4OO and other moneys paid under the agreement, and £250 damages.
