BAGS FOR SOLDIERS.
■ MORE SHOULD BE SENT. Sand bags are needed for the lads at the front, but up to now Taranaki, or the northern portion of it, has not done much to supply the need. There are plently of people ready to be organised into a collecting brigade, but except by Mrs. D. F. Hughes, of Oin&ta, no organisation has been attempted. It has been suggested that a central receiving depot should be obtained, in charge of man unable to go to the iront, and machines provided.
