AUSTRIAN COMMUNIQUE. MONTENEGRINS STUBBORN. Received Dec. 2, 10.50 p.m. Amsterdam, Dec. 2. An Austrian communique states: We ■re attacking the Gradina heights southeast of Metalka ridge. Our columns stormed the border of the plateau for ten kilometres of Prevlje, which the Montenegrins stubbornly defended.
ON THE WEST FRONT. ARTILLERY DOES DAMAGE. Received Dec. 2, 11.15 p.m. Paris, Dee. 2. A communique states that there is intense artillery activity at various points. The Anglo-French artillery east of Boesinghe inflicted important damage on the enemy's defences, including a thirty metres breach in a redoubt.
