CENTRAL SCHOOL CARNIVAL

MEETJXG OR THE COMMITTEE. A meeting of the Central School Carnival Committee was held at the Town Hall last night, Mr. S. G. Smith presiding over a good attendance. It was decided that the doll donated by Mrs Hay be disposed of by a nameguessing competition; that the gold watch, donated by Mr. J. Avery, be disposed of by a time-guessing competition, Mr. Bennett to arrange; that an auctioneer be obtained for selling the various articles that are given. It was resolved that the route of the procession be via St. Aubyn Street, Queen Street, Devon Street, and I;iardet Street, starting from the Drill Hall. Drawings for the Tug-of-War are as follow: First Round.—Bell Block pulls Central 8., Frankley Road pulls Fitzroy, Central A pulls Omata, West End pulls Waihi.
