CONSCRIPTION THE FAIREST.

To the Editor. Sir, —There has been appearing in the columns of the Daily Xe\v.s lately, letters in favor of conscription and otherwise. I think conscription is the proper thing, as it hardly seems fair that one man's sons who are just of an age to help their father should enlist and o neighbor's son's stay at home helping their father to coin money. In one case I know of the 'first man's two sons were both under age but their father was too patriotic to keep them from helping their country. The second man has two sons old enough to enlist, but he has no intention of letting them do so, as he has said that he docs not care which way the war goes as long as his boys do not have to go. Conscription, yes, of course. —I am, etc., MAtfAIA ROAD.
