STRATFORD A. AND P. SHOW.

OX WEDNESDAY AXD THURSDAY". The Stratford Agricultural and -Pastoral Association's Show for liH5, to lie held on Wednesday and Thursday next, will not fail to add another milestone denoting furthei progress of this very active organisation. Realising that through the overshadowing inlluenees cast over most things by the great war, it would be incumbent on the executive to bestir themselves to secure entries for the different sections and classes, a comprehensive effort was made in this direction. Enthusiastic members of the executive attended the A. and P. Association Shows at Palmerston North, Wanganui, and Hawera, and were most successful in their mission. In most classes the entries received have been beyond expectations. The show grounds arc in splendid order and arrangements for the comfort and amusement of patrons, both adults and children are well in hand. The side shows, as usual, will be a strung feature at the gathering. Every effort has been made to make the ring events as entertaining as possible, and to this end additional events will be added to the programme. The motor cars so much in evidence as a means of conveyance at previous shows will be specially catered for in an enclosure set aside for the purpose. The Stratford Baud of sixteen players will be located in a central position on the grounds and will play throughout the day on People's Day. The catering for meals and afternoon tea will be in the hands of .Mr. W. Dustin, of Wanganui. Partifs wishing to .picnic on the grounds will be supplied with hot water free of charge. Favored with fine weather it may be confidently expected that a big crowd of people will assemble from different parts of Taranaki at the show on Wednesday, and particularly on Thursday.
