BOWLING.
OPENING OF INGLEWOOD GREEN. Weather conditions were not favorable for the opening of the Inglewood Green on Thursday, the only outside dub represented being Stratford. The usual match President v. Vice-president was played, but neither of the three rinks were fully manned. The game resulted in a victory for the President by 91 to 59. Afternoon tea was provided by the ladieV, after which Mr. Percivall welcomed the visitors, and called on Mrs. A. Marshall to throw the jack and declare the gpeen open, the ceremony eliciting hearty cheers.
The following teams from the Stratford Bowling Club have been selected to play two rinks against the Pihama Club on the Stratford Green to-day at 2 p.m. sharp:—W. J. Leversedge, J. S. Rowe, North, N. J. King (s); J. S. Macdonald, F. J. Hartley, W. J. Rowc, R. McK. Morison (s).
