THE DARDANELLES

TURKISH ATTACK FAILS. MONITORS AND AIRCRAFT BUSY. Received Nov .26,.9.25 p.m. Paris, Nov. 26. A communique says: The enemy have been growing in activity at the Dardanelles for some days. An attempt, in three attacks, was made to retake the trenches the British captured on the 15th, but failed, the British infantry and British and French artillery decimating the Turks, who fell back, leaving many dead. Mine warfare continues. The Turks are well provided with ammunition, but are showing themselves nervous jof our aircraft, which bombarded the Constanti-nople-Dedeagatch railway. Monitors are frequently bombarding the Asiatic coast, keeping the Turks constantly on the watch, obliging them to oppose us with important forces.
