EMPIRE PICTURES. The new programme showing to-night is headed by a Vitagraph drama "Sunshine and Shadow." This is the appealing story of Martin Drew, who ia forsaken by his fiancee and forced to seek fortune in a strange city, where he meets his ideal and marries her,- only to be repented by the venom of the woman who rejected him, but who eventually attains happiness. A number of well-selected filmic subjects support the main attraction. Seats may be reserved.
ROYAL PICTURES. Saturday's new programme features 'The Cypher Key," a grand story of love and adventure. In support are some fine films, which include "Scenes In Swedish Norland" (scenic), 'The Worthier Man" (drama), and excellent Australian gazette, and two fine comedies.
