BRITISH RESIDENTS IMPRISONED A VILLAGE ATTACKED. London, Nov. 23. Sir Edward Grey, in the House of Commons, said that the Persifen gendarmerie at Shiraz revolted under foreign officers and took prisoner the British Consul and ofher British residents. Petrograd, Nov. 23, Teheran advices state that several hundred gendarmes and irregulars, officered by Germans, made a night attack on Hamadan. Persian Cossacks later forced them to retire and saved the town.
