IN THE WEST.
ARTILLERY ACTIVE. FRUITLESS ENEMY AIR- RAIDS. Received " Nov. 23, 7.45 p.m. f - T " London, Nov. 22. Sir John French reports that the artillery for four days carried out organised (bombardments on many portions of the hostile lines with good effect. The enemy's artillery has been active north of Loos, east of Armentieres, and east of Ypres. The enemy made air raids at Poperinghe on November IS and 20. The first wounded two soldiers and killed four cows, a second caused eight casualties, bat the others were without result. -
