The Minister for Education (Hon. .1. A. Hanan) mentioning this matter to your correspondent, stated that the next step would be the division of the new districts into wards. He intended to take the advice of the Education Boards 011 ths point, since tficy possessed local knowledge and so were in a good position to make recommendations. The existing Boards, added the Minister, were to remain in existence until August of next, year, |n accordance with the Act of last session, so that there was time for a full and careful consideration of the issues connected with the arrangement of the wards.
