DISPOSAL OF REFUSE.
CONDITIONS IN NKW PLYMOUTH. The Works Committee of the Boroush Council met last night. Present: 'l'iie Mayor and Crs. L. M. Montcuth, .1. S. S. Medley, J. Harden, F. K. Wilson. A. H. .lohn9tone, W. A. \V F. Short, F. J. Hill, J, T. Mannis, and A. K. Watkins. The borough engineer reported that the present conditions of refuse di:posal were very unsatisfactory, and were a constant source of trouble and expense. Seeing that the Council had made provision for dealing with thU question by having obtained authority to raise the necessary fundi, he wished to state that, if desired, lie was prepared to submit a full and comprehensive report on the question ami show how the work could lie carried out with a small capital expenditure in the flrst ca-e, and a very moderate working expense in dealing with the material l>v a compartively new method.
