GERMAN COUP DE MAIN.
TO FORCE A PEACE. SUEZ CANAL THREATENED. Received Nov. 14, 3.30 p.m. London, Nov. 13, Tlie Times' Lausanne correspondent says he has learned from a trustworthy source that the Germans are contemplating a coup de main to force a patehed-up peace while they still hold the advantage in the field, and it is likely to take the form of an attack on the Suez Canal. This moans the construction of a light railway across the desert, and they are counting on England's slowness to move. If the canal is immediately entrenched the coup de main will prove a disastrous failure.
