Ho has ridden in nearly every big event in Victoria since ISO-1, and won the Melbourne Cup on The Victory and l'atroba>. while he piloted Alawa into second place in Ifidii lie has won the V.TJ.f. Derby six times. The horse he was engaged to ride in this year's Cup broke down, and he was fortunate enouah to Mink.-" the ride on the Judging by the numerous entries received" for tlie Feilding, Ashhurst, Takapuna and other forthcoming meetings, racing is not waning in the Dominion. Taranaki hoises are freely entered at all meetings, and there must lie a great number of horses in work in this province at the present tiina.
