A London cablegram reports the death of Mr. E. S. Willard, the well-known actor. On Wednesday, October 13, the High Chief Ttipua expired at his residence at Vaimoso, Samoa, after a very short illness. As soon as the High Chief had passed away messengers were sent all over the island heralding Ilia death, and the ancient Samoan custom at the death of a High Chief was observed at Vaimoso, all natives being obliged, when riding on horseback or travelling in buggies, to dismount and lead their Worses out of respect to their chief. At night the whole of the village of Vaimoso was illuminated with fires, and the natives held a wake until daylight. On Thursday afternoon the funeral, which was the largest ever witnessed in Samoa, proceeded from Vaimoso to Mulinuu. GOOD FOR ALL. Chamberlain's Cough Remedy is good for any member of the family.
