AFTER THE WAR. - TEADE WITH FRANCE. New York, Nov. 10, A French commercial commission of .five members hag arrived in New York to arrange purchases at the conclusion of the war exceeding £30,000,000, for structural steel, machinery, and industrial supplies, formerly obtained from Germany, The commissioners state that while ostensibly purchasing supplies to reconstruct and modernise industries after the war, the visit has a wider purpose, as they are looking for the establishment of reciprocal treaty relations.
FIRE AT STEEL FACTORY. PRO-GERMANS SUSPECTED. New York, Nov. 10. Fire destroyed a Bection of the Bethlehem steel factory, Pennsylvania, which is engaged in making munitions for the Allies. Pro-Germans are suspected. EMBASSY EMPLOYEE DISMISSED. Washington, Nov. 10. Germany has dismissed Monsieur de Lavel, a Belgian employed by the United States in connection with the American Legation at Brussels. America has not protested. De Lavel wa9 connected with the Cavell case.
