FOR MEN AND WOMEIT. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Dunedin, Nov. 9. At a well-attended meeting of the Chamber of Commerce to-day a resolution was unanimously carried: "That, whilst appreciating the splendid services rendered by our devoted sons who have gone to the frorit, this chamber is strongly of opinion that the time has arrived when the Government must effectively organise compulsory national service whereby every man and woman may be called on to perform any duties required for the good of the Empire."
