ROUGH WEATHER ON THE COAST.
STEAMERS DELAYED. KARAWA-S TRIP ABANDONED. The Rarawa, which was liar-bound at Manukau 'Heads on Monday evening, failed to cross the bar yesterday, the weather being unusually rough. The Rarawa returned to Oneliunga from the Heads ajid her trip has been abandoned. She will leave Oneliunga as usual tomorrow afternoon, arriving at New Plymouth oil Friday morning. The Alexander arrived at New Plymouth at 5.30 o'clock last evening after a stormy trip from Greymouth, it occupying thirty .hours. It is usual for the Alexander to make the journey in about twenty-four hours. Very rough seas were encountered throughout the trip. The Kowhai, which was expected at New Plymouth yesterday, from Wellington, has been delayed at the southern port, and will not arrive here until today. The Corinna lias also been delayed in the South, and is not expected tp reach New Plymouth until Sunday. She leaves Timaru to-day.
