IN CENTRAL SERBIA.

THE AUSTRIAN ADVANCE. Amsterdam, Nov. 7. The Austrians threw back the Serbians at Gracina and advanced in the valley of the Morava, beyond Slatina. We forced the river crossings on both sides of Kraljevo, which we captured, taking 130 guns. Our troops are now close to Knichovatz. General von GallVtitz captured 3000 prisoners and ammunition, also English field guns.

A BLOODY ENCOUNTER. I'llKXl'll REPEL BULGARS. , Paris, Nov. 7. The Petit Parisien's Salonika correspondent says the Bulgarian repulse at Krivolak was sanguinary. After a long artillery preparation they rushed to the assault and encountered the full blast of the French artillery, rifles and ma-thine-guns. The French crossed the frontier east of Rabrovo and captured a dominating position near Cortrino. They also captured other villages after fighting fiercely. The battle was resumed on Saturday. The French artillery inflicted enormous losses. Many of the enemy were drowned while attempting to cross the river. An important number of British effectives is shortly expected. The Austro-Gcrman advance in the north of Serbia seems to be arrested. A communique says: Fighting ceased at our advanced positions at Krivolak on Friday. Wo continue to press at Rabrovo.
