WAIMANGU AGAIN ACTIVE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. . Wellington, Yesterday. Rotorua reports that the Waimangu Geyser erupted at 2 o'clock this afternoon. but only once. It was a very good shot. REPORT FROM ROTORUA. FRYING PAN FLAT BLOWN AWAY. Rotorua, Last Night. The Waimangu Geyser exploded at 2 o'clock this afternon, but the eruption was much less than that of April 12, being a single shot of three or four minutes' duration. A column of mud, water, and steam rose 200 or 300 feet, and a cavity 60 feet across was formed. Frying-Pan Flat was almost blown away. After the explosion the geyser became absolutely quiescent, and no sign of eruption has been manifested since.
