WOMEN'S SUFFRAGE IN THE STATES. New York, Nov. 3. Women's suffrage was defeated in Massachusetts by a majority of 108,000, in New York State by 205,868, and in Pennsylvania by 100,000 votes. All the returns arc incomplete. Prohibition wa3 defeated in Ohio by a majority of about 50,000. The final suffrage voting indicates little relative changes in the majorities. The result is attributed largely to the foreign vote, also to the spectacular methods adopted by suffragettes to obtain victory.
