KAWAROA PARK.
AMUSEMENT AT THE SEASIDE, A garden party am! sale of work was held at Kawaroa Park yesterday afternoon and provided an enjoyable outing at the seaside for a large number of people. The weather was showery, but this did not seriously interfere with the pleasure of the children and their elders, wjio were well catered for. Sports were held find were thoroughly enjoyed by the young people, While many took advantage of the attractions of the beacli. Afternoon tea was served in the bungalow, and Mejdames Hill, WallilA Hooker, Ward and Miss Oeorge were very uttPfliivp fo meeting the wants of the visitor*. Amidst the trees stalls were erected and did good ))Usi|iess, while the members of the committee wpri: in charge of various attractions to amuse young and ptd. Altogether the afternoon offered a highjy enjoyable outing, and ft is hoped thp cpmpiittep wi|j jbo well rewarded wi{J» more nioney tp assist in making further improvements ip the picturesque park. The stall-holders were:—Sweet stall, ifeijanies Honevfiekl ar,d Peilew and Miss GliVier; .plain work stall, Mesdamcs Bsftl, Busseii, fiHiver ani lliss Purdy; prodwsg stajl, Stansell a'jid McLean.
