AGAIN BROACHING PEACE. ABSURD TERMS SUGGESTED. London, Nov. 3. The Daily Express' correspondent in New York saya that Geneva arid Amsterdam declare that Germany is making steps towards peace through the Pope and Mr, Wilson. According to a member of the Reichstag Germany's peace terms include the cession of the Meuse frontier and Courland and an indemnity of 1500 millions sterling. Amsterdam, Nov. 3. The Telegraaf ridicules Germany's talkcd-of peace terms in the peace talk which comes from Berlin.
MEATLESS BERLIN. STREET RIOTING. Received Nov. 4, 9.20 p.m. London, Nov. 4. Berlin has experienced the first meatless day. All the butchers' shops were closed and meat dishes were absent from the restaurant menus. Some shopping centres were impassible, and there were scenes of rioting, owing to the poorer classes resenting people buying at panic prices.
ANOTHER STORY. ABUNDANT CROP£ REPORTED. Received Nov. 4, 9 p.m. Amsterdam, Nov. 3. The Dries reports that there is no scarcity of food in Germany. The crops are abundant, especially potatoes.
