WAREA MATTERS.
To the Editor. Sir, —Your amateur correspondent, as she describes herself, is perfectly right when she says she has caused a sensation in the little township of Warea. But not only- has she caused a sensation, she has once and for all made herself objectionable to all rifrlit-mindod people of this district. Her whole attitude is one of unfortunate ignorance. Her whole argument is one which is not taken seriously by anyone with the least knowledge of affairs about which your correspondent writes. Now, regarding the "crack" shot affair, my exploit on that occasion gained me many friends. But, it certainly was a crack shot, for had it not been so, I could not have gone home with a moat beautiful cow's tongue. Miss Corbett need not trouble to envy the New-all Road function, for the Newall Road settlers feel absolutely sorry for Warea people that they should have among them a person who writes as your correspondent has done. Regarding the Newall Road soldier boys, it is perfectly obvious that they went from the Warea district. If not, how can she claims to omit T. Larking as a Warea boy? He was living with his sister on the Puniho Road The same with E. Larking: he was living with his mother on the Burgess -Road. Now, regarding the certain young man, which she referred to. It is perfectly certain that she had no friendly feeling towards him. She might have kept away from the dance whicli was given in honor of the wedding. Your correspondent says that if a man marries it's not necessary for him to stav at home. Quite true, but why doesn't she persuade her own relations to go. No doubt she will do so after this. —I am. etc., HARRY BRUNSDON. Newall Road, Nov. 1.
