A TORPEDOED TRANSPORT. NEW ZEALAND STATIONARY HOSPITAL ON BOARD.
NURSES DROWNED AND MISSING. NAMES OP THE SURVIVORS. FULL PARTICULARS NOT YET TO HAND. I By Telegraph.—'Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Information which has reached the Government show* that the stall' of the No. 1 Now Zealand Stationary Hospital, under Surgeon-Colonel McGaviu, was aboard the British transport MarqueUe which was torpedoed and .sunk ia the Aegean Sea on October 23. Full details are not yei to' land, but it is known that ten New Zealand nurses and a certain number of the male members of the hospital staff are among the missing. The following list of missing and of the survivors was received late tonight:— Drowned. Armv Nursing Service Stair: Nurse M. Rogers. Missing, believed to be drowned.— Stall: Nurses M. S. Brown, J. Clark, C. A. Fox, M. Gorman. M. M. Hildyard, H. K. Isdell, M. E. Jamieson, M. H. Rae, L. A. Rattray.
