WAITARA.
RED CROSS MART. (From Our Own Correspondent) The ladies' committee met last livening. the Mayoress presiding. It was decided to take advantage of Mr. Jenkinson's (New Plymouth), offer of the use of his building in McLean Street to be used as a Red Cross Mart. The patriotic committee intends carrying out the necessary repairs in order to enable the Mart to be opened on Saturday next (Nov. 6). Several subcommittees were appointed to ear!;.v out the arrangements, and the Municipal Band will be a3ked to contribute a programme of music in the evening. A wish was expressed that the papers would give the matter all the publicity they could, so that people in the country would have an opportunity to forward produce, etc., which always commands a speedy sale, to the Mart.
Morning and afternoon tea, and supper will be available, and it is hoped the public will give their whole-hearted support in making these market days a success.
