SUNFLOWER ENTERTAINERS. (From Our Own Correspondent) These entertainers gave the first of a series of concerts in St. John's Hall on Thursday evening, and in spite of the inclemency of the weather had a full house. Before the concert commenced the Waitara Muncipal Band played a number of selections outside tho hall.

The first half of the programme consisted of minstrelsy. It opened with a laughing chorus by the company, and this was followed by songs by Mr. T. Ewens, "My Southern Rose"; Mr. G. Bird, "Chesapeake Bay"; Mr. C. Whyte, "Shipmates o* Mine"; Mr. Kent, "Where the River Shannon Flows"; Miss Badley, "Come, for it's June"; Mr. F. Sandford, "Glorious Devon"; Mr. Redmond, "The Longest Way Round." Mr. Fred. Hawkin's song, "Sit Down; You're Rocking the Boat," was met with rounds of applause, and had to be repeated again and again. Then came a recitation by Mr. Vincent, "Kaiser Bill"; and a duet, "Larboard Watch," by Messrs Day and Whyte. Nearly every item wa.s encored. Messrs M. Redmond and Vincent as Bones and F. Hawkins and 0. Bird as Tambos, kept the audience in roars of laughter with their jokes and gags. The second half comprised songs by Mr. T. Ewens, "The Song that Will Live for Ever"; Miss Badlev, "The Invitation"; Mr. C. Whyte, "The Bandolero"; and Mr. N. Day, "The Two Grenadiers."

The farce, "The Wrong Flat," which took up the latter part of the programme, went beyond all expectations. Mr. Stan. Tate a's "Mr. Barrington," a solicitor; Mr. E. A. Hawkins, ''Billings" (Barrington's servant); Mr. Geo. Bird, "Mona. Alphonse Petti Pris" (a Frenchman) ; Miss' May Jenkins, "Madame" (his wife); Mr. F, Sandford, "Mr. Puddicomb" (from the country); Miss (!. Brabant, "Mr 3. Pnddicomb"; and Miss Lily Klenner, Miss Pnddicomb (their daughter) each played their parts exceedingly well. The total proceeds are to go to the Wounded Soldiers' Fund.
