The plover dodder is one of the worst woods on the furni. It is more than a weed, for it is ;i parasite, and does not dispute, the ground in the ordinary way with the crop, hut fastens on the clover plant and lives on it until its victim dies. Largo patches may he destroyed in this way. Dodder attacks other plants when clover is not available. It used to be supposed that it did not ripen its seed in England, but under favorable conditions it does, and the only sure method of destruction is &c%
