ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES
SHOCKING RAILWAY ACCIDENT. By Telegraph.—'Press Associalioß. Dunedin, Last Night. Frederick Williams, 58 years of age, residing in King Street, was killed at the Rattray Street railway crossing this evening. A train was being shunted over the crossing, at a very slow pace, preceded by a pilot. Deceased apparently attempted to pass round the train, but was struck by the guard's van and fell between the rails, his body being rolled a little distance by the bralce gear. Williams was terribly injured about the head and body, and was dead when nicked «&•
