LONDON WOOL SALES. By Cable—Fresa Association—Copyright London, Oct. 26. At the sales 8133 bales were catalogued, of which 3603 were New Zealand. It was a very inferior selection. There was a good attendance. Good merinos were unchanged, but faulty extremely neglected; and there were frequent withdrawals. Prices were generally weaker. Fine crossbreds were firm; medium and coarse were 5 to 71 per cent, above the last closing rates. Slipes were freely offered, and sold irregularly, but generally at a full halfpenny advance. Americans are taking crossbreds and slipes; Russians best and scoured merinos.
