13ANNER MATCHES. The following banner challenge matches have been arranged:—Stratford plays Opumike (the holders) on November 11, l''ii,zroy plays the winners on November i!>, and Xcw Plymouth the winners of that match on December 9, all mate-lids being played on the holders'
STRATFORD. The Labor Day progressive pairs match, the entries for which were given to the Wounded Soldiers' Fund, resulted in Mr. J. W. McMillan winning the skips' trophy, and Mr. J. S. McDonald that for the leads. Thirty-six bowlers took part in the play. Mr. G. Sangster has donated a two guinea trophy for a "drawing" competition, the entrance fees, therefore, being given to the Wounded Soldiers' Fund. WEST END. The official opening of the West End green takes place this afternoon, when a good muster is expected.
