NEW ZEALAND CUP SCRATCHING. By Telegraph.—P«eß3 Association. Chrisehureh, Yesterday. Potoa was scratched for tlie New Zealand Cup at 9 a.m. to-day. THE TOTE IN VICTORIA. .Melbi.mio, Of*. 21. Mr, Murray, commenting on the Westralian Horse Racing Committee's report, said the introduction of the totalisator in Victoria was desirable from the revenue viewpoint, but it could not be introduced with the Government taking all all the profits. The clubs would have to run the totalisator and how to divide the profits was the problem. There «'« no chance of a Bill passing this session. Though a majority of the members favored the totalisator they were far from agreeing with the details of the Bill.
