PREPARATIONS FOR MONDAY. TJie East End Committee acknowledge, with thanks, the following gifts: -Mr. Openshaw, sucking pig; A. Veale, tin of 'biscuits; N. King, ham; Burgos'! and Frascr, SOlb flour; Mrs. R. Lennoch. pair fowls. Tin; committee intend holding an auction sale on Monday, and Mr. J. R. Hill or Mr. Flammgan will be glad to recetve any artisle, no matter how small. Everything promises to be a huge success at Monday's carnival, one of tire leading features of which will be the huge procession through the town of the grotesque heads so kindly lent by the Citizens' Band. As most of the business people have expressed their intention of observing a whole holiday, a huge attendance is assured
