ASHORE NEAR RAGLAN.
SCHOONER FALCON HIGH AND DRY. By Telepiph.—'Pre*« Aisociatloii. Hamilton. Oct. 20. The two-masted schooner Falcon, 160 tons, owned by Kaston and Co., Kilbirnie, Wellington, in ballast from Wellington to Hoiciar.fca, went aslicru on the north head in Raglan B^ibc 1 at 8 p.m. A strong gale blew all light and drove her 60 miles out of her course. Captain Johansen decided to try to make Raglan Harbor and was within a sbq.'t distance of the bar when she was struck oy a foul wind and driven on a sandbank, whore she remains high and dry. The crew have landed. It is believed the vessel will float again. Wellington, Oct. £O. The schooner Falcon, wh'cu is ashore about a mile north of Raglaa, is owned by Easton, Ltd., timber merchants, Wellington. She left here on October 12 in ballast to load timber. She was valued at £IOOO and was uninsured.
