* WORTHY CHRISTMAS GREETING. EXPRESSION OF CANADIAN LOYALTY. (Times and Sydney Sun Services.) Received Oct. 20, 5.5 p.m. London, Oct. 19. The Times correspondent at Toronto •ays the papers are urging that more troops be enrolled in Canada, Hi view of the magnitude of the struggle, And also that there be no further request* lor loans from Britain. The papers urge the supply of an ever-increas-ing number of men, with money 1 , equipment, and maintenance, as a worthy Christmas greeting from Ottawa to the Allied Parliaments. The Canadians are profoundly impiessi by the Australasian casualties at the udanelles, and no otner fact has so neb. convinced Canadians that greater tertions and sacrifices are necessary. GROWN PRINCE'S DOMESTIC FELICITY. (Times and Sydney Sun Services.) Received Oct. 20, 5.5 p.m. London, Oct. 19. Le Matin ((Paris) reports that the Crown Prince's mother-in-law (Grand Duchess of Mecklenburg-Schwerin), had a dramatic interview with her daughter at Interlaken. The Crown Princess wishes to leave her husband, but she is unable to take the children. The Grand Duchess, who has renounced Germany, is hopeful of arranging a •epamtfon.
