'I iu. proclamation ordering the pre* pr.mUoii of tho National Register is to be issued on Tuesday, October 20th. The collection of the information ii to be completed within tho suceeding fortnight, every man between tho age* of seventeen years and sixty years being required to fill in a form and return Ft to the authorities on or before November 9th. It is estimated that then are 320,000 men in the Dominion of tho specified ages, and the Registrar-General's Department ia securing 400,000 ferine. These forms will be classified when they have beon collected on a card-indog eyetern, and will constitute the Register. The form is headed "New Zealand National Register of Men." Each man is required to fill in his name, his place of residence, and his place of business, If any.
