NEW PLYMOUTH CLUB. The New Plymouth Club will be officially closed for the season this afternoon, when mixed foursomes will be played. The Standish Cup has been won Dy K. B. Bain. This is the first year the cup has been competed for. WITIORA CLUB. On Thursday afternoon, at the Witiora links, the last mixed foursomes of the season were played for Mr. Goldwater's prizes, and the best scores were:— Miss Lewis and Haslam, 08—28—72. Miss Gold water and H. Staitli, 105— 26%--78%. Miss Johnson and J. Johnson, 114— 32%—81%. » Miss Rundle and G. Grey, 97—13—84. The ladies also played a progressive putting match for a prize presented by Mr. Hasell, which was won by Miss B. Oliver, who registered five wins and one loss for the six rounds. Altogether £1 os fid was collected, which will be handed over to the Red Cross Fund, supplemented by t!ie entrance fees next Thursday, when a ninehole medal round will be played, and driving, approaching and putting competitions held. ° A team of Bix players from the Waitara Club are coming to New Plymouth to-day and will play Witiora.
