RUSSIAN BEPOBT. Received Oct, 12, 11.30 p.m. Pctrograd, Oct. 12. A communique states:—-Our aeroplanes bombed several villages southwest of Friedrichstadt. Furious successful lighting occured at many points on the IJviusk front, and we put the Germans at Garbutowka to flight. We expelled them from the trenches near Lautzensei, southwest of Dvinsk, and are pursuing them. We have occupied the line from the south-eastern end of Lake Medmuskjfo to Loutzessei, Our artillery murderously assailed the enemy advancing near Xovel railway towards the Styr. An olttinate battle below Kolki ended in our occupying the third line of trenches. AUSTRIAN REPORT. Received Oct. 12, 9.45 p.m. Amsterdam, Oct. 12. An Austrian communique states that the Russian offensive has slackened considerably.
