TELEGRAPHIC. ARRIVED. Auckland, Oct. 11.—At 0 a.m., Talur.e, from Suva. Wellington, Oct. 11.—At .5.35 a.m., Corinna, from New Plymouth. THE RARAWA. The Rarawa brought 43 tons of cargo from Onehunga yesterday. She remains here uptil to-niglit. SHORTAGE OF FIREMEN. The shortage of firemen and seamen at Wellington is responsible for the detention of the steamers Komate and Karu at that port. The Riverina was ready to leave Wellington at 11.30 o'clock on Friday morning for Sydney, via northern ports, but owing to a difficulty in procuring firemen the vessel did not get away till 0.25 o'clock in the evening.
OIL STEAMERS TO ARRIVE. The Vacuum Oil Company advises that the steamer Baron Cawdor is expected to arrive at Auckland on the 28tli of October from New York, via Panama. She left New York on September 18, and brings between fifty and sixty thousand cases of oil for Wellington. The Baron Ogilvy will bring a similar cargo for the same Company is due to arrive about the middle of December. The British Imperial Oil Company's - steamer Physa will arrive in Auckland in the first week of November, with a cargo of oil from the East Indies. PATEENA RETURNS. The Union Company's steamer Pateena arived back at Wellington early on Thursday morning from Melbourne, where she has been acting as substitute for the Loongana in the MelbourneLaunceston service. Captain T. W. Cox (late of the Lauderdale), brought the Pateena over. The Pateent experienced a fine weather run. She is to lay up for overhaul at Wellington.
