DRAGGED BY A HORSE. By Telegraph.— j'Ptcss Association. Auckland, Oct. George Nelson Bryant, farmer, of Karaka, was killed through being dragged by his horse, which bolted while he had the rope round his hand. He was dragged filteen chains. He was a married man. ■!:! years of age. A SCHOOL TEACHER DROWNED. Auckland, Oct. !>. Miss M'Laren, school teacher at Ngutunui, thirteen miles from Otorohanga, was drowned while attempting to lord the Makararoa River She was riding with a small boy behind her. when the horse got into difficulties. The boy's father was awaiting on the bank and rushed into the river and saved his soil, but was unable to help Miss M'Laren.
