RUSSIAN OFFENSIVE RESUMED. PUSHING BACK THE HUN. . Petrograd, Oct. C. Newspapers announce that the Russian armies have enormous quantities of munition*, and the strategic position lias consequently completely changed. A eou.iv.iinique states that the, Russians, have occupied the German trendies near Fliedriehstadt, and captured a number of villages in the lake region eastward of Vilna, also southward of the Pripei, after strenuous lighting. A GERMAN REPORT. Amsterdam, Oct. C. A German communique says: Russian attacks on a large scale between Drisjwiaty and Lake Ivrews were repulsed. The ' enemy was temporarily successful at Kosjany and south of Wiahniev lakes, but our counter-attacks inflicted heavv losses.
